
The image above is a 2023 reprocessing of the same data from 2019. The original version is below. I wanted to see what four years of learning and new tools could do for marginal data. This was only 2h 6m of one-shot color data from an SQM 19 location. I was surprised at how much better this was able to look!

The Flaming Star Nebula has emission and reflection components. This turned out to be very difficult to process because of color splotchiness in the image. I’m not sure what the source of this was.
The total integration is only 2.1 hours and the processing leaves a lot to be desired.
