
Messier 44, AKA the Beehive Cluster and NGC 2632. It’s an open cluster in Cancer. At a distance of 500-600 light years, it’s one of the closest open clusters to us. The age of the cluster is estimated to be about 600 million years. It contains about 1,000.
This cluster is visible to the naked eye as a small, fuzzy patch but is easily resolved in binoculars.
