IC 447 is a reflection nebula in Monoceros. It’s also known as Dreyer’s Nebula and that’s about all I can tell you about it. Although IC 447 was the primary subject for the image, there are several other cataloged nebulae in the image to the left of the frame. There dark nebulae, other reflection nebulae and the whole area seems to sit in front of some faintly glowing hydrogen.
This is another short Seestar S30 integration. I seem to be using this on clear nights when I couldn’t set up the larger telescope either because I didn’t get home in time or the weather was to iffy. Although I go this to primarily use at outreach events it might do a good job as a scout to look for interesting but unfamiliar targets to later image in more detail with the larger telescope.
