The Splinter Galaxy (NGC 5907) is a spiral galaxy in Draco. It’s about 46.5 million light years away. It’s nearly edge-on to us and is sometimes also called the Knife Edge Galaxy.

This is heavily cropped from the original image. The galaxy is quite small in the frame but the camera captured some great detail and wouldn’t be visible if the crop wasn’t tight.
