Messier 29

Messier 29 is an open cluster in Cygnus. This star cluster is estimated to be about 5,200 light years away but that measurement is challenging because of the gas and dust in that direction. The cluster is also estimated to be a bit over 13 million years old.

Messier 29 is visible in binoculars and telescopes and is an easy visual target.
