I imaged the Coma Cluster from home a few years ago but this in a darker sky with a bit more focal length. The Coma Cluster is a galaxy cluster in the constellation Coma Berenices. The field of view is filled with little smudges that are galaxies in addition to the larger, more obvious galaxies.
There are over 1,000 galaxies in the cluster and the mean distance of the cluster is 321 million light years. Two of the largest (both in the image and in an absolute sense) are NGC 4784 and NGC 4889. These are supergiant elliptical galaxies, much, much larger than our own Milky Way spiral galaxy. NGC 4889 is also cataloged as Caldwell 35.
This is 39h 20m of LRGB data. For all the technical details, see astrobin.
