IC 5068 is a nameless emission nebula that is near the Pelican Nebula in Cygnus. This image shows just a part of it.
The image is a bit over 14 and a half hours of data taken in September 2019 but I didn’t get around to posting it until now because I wasn’t sure I was happy with the image. Fortunately, it grew on me over time and I decided to post it.
This is not frequently imaged, probably because it lacks any dramatic detail, but I wanted to try something off the beaten path and given the high horizons in my yard, targets in Cygnus end up rising to the top of the list.
You can find the image on astrobin.
